SCHOOL PURPOSE
Sly Park Fundamental Basketball School opened in 1982 to provide instruction for 5th through 12th grade boys & girls to learn the fundamentals of basketball and develop individual & team skills necessary to contribute to successful school & AAU seasons. The school is designed to first evaluate each player and then provide instruction based on age and current skill level. A handwritten player evaluation will be given to each player by their 5-on-5 coach at the end of each week, which will note particular strengths and areas that need improvement.
As we begin our 43rd year, with nearly 16,000 graduates, Sly Park Fundamental Basketball School continues to be the most popular overnight individual basketball camp in Northern California. For young players learning the fundamentals to become successful school & AAU players, Sly Park is "the" basketball school to attend.
The high number of returnees each year supports the reputation of Sly Park Fundamental Basketball School as the place to improve your skills, meet new friends, & have lots of fun.
